PROGRAM SUMMARY

AdvantEdge is a multi-tenant SaaS operations platform for small service businesses (lawn care, cleaning, plumbing, home services, etc.). AdvantEdge provisions each subscribing business ("Business") with a dedicated Twilio-hosted phone number that the Business publishes as its main line.

When a consumer ("Caller") dials the Business's published number and the call is not answered within the ring window, our system sends one automated customer-care SMS to the Caller's originating number. The message identifies the Business, acknowledges the missed call, and typically includes a link to the Business's online booking page.

TWO-LAYER CONSENT MODEL

This program uses a two-layer consent chain designed to meet both platform (TCR / carrier) and TCPA requirements:

  1. Business-owner opt-in (Layer 1) — every Business enabling the feature must affirmatively agree to display a public disclosure notice next to their published phone number and honor STOP/HELP handling.
  2. Caller opt-in (Layer 2) — under TCPA "prior express consent" doctrine, a Caller who has seen the publicly-displayed disclosure and subsequently dials the Business's number provides prior express consent to receive the single automated customer-care reply if the call is unanswered.

LAYER 1 — BUSINESS-OWNER OPT-IN

Before a Business can enable the missed-call text-back feature, they must complete an in-app disclosure gate. The gate is unchecked by default and cannot be bypassed. The workflow is:

Evidence 1 · The disclosure gate dialog
This modal is shown to every Business before the feature can be enabled. It enumerates all four compliance obligations, references the full SMS Terms page, and requires an unchecked-by-default checkbox to be affirmatively ticked before the "Accept & Enable" button becomes active.

What the Business owner agrees to

  1. Display the SMS-response disclosure alongside their published phone number on their website, Google Business Profile, and any printed materials where the number appears.
  2. Use the feature only for responsive customer care — not for marketing, promotions, or messages unrelated to the caller's original inquiry.
  3. Honor STOP opt-outs immediately. AdvantEdge auto-appends the STOP/HELP suffix to every outbound message and enforces opt-out state server-side (see Layer 3 controls below).
  4. Take full responsibility for TCPA, FCC, and CTIA compliance for all messages sent from their number.

LAYER 2 — CALLER OPT-IN (PRIOR EXPRESS CONSENT)

Under the Layer 1 agreement, every Business is contractually required to display the following disclosure copy (or equivalent) publicly, adjacent to their published phone number, on their website, Google Business Profile, and any printed materials:

Text back when we miss you. When you call and we can't pick up, you'll receive one automated text from us to confirm we got your call and to share our booking link. Msg frequency: max 1/24hr per caller. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms: advantedge.cloud/sms-terms · Privacy: advantedge.cloud/privacy

The Caller sees this disclosure at the point of publication (Business website / GBP listing / physical signage) before dialing. By subsequently dialing the number, the Caller provides prior express consent under 47 CFR §64.1200(a)(2) to receive a single automated customer-care reply if the call is not answered.

Enforcement: The AdvantEdge platform terms (§9A of the Terms of Service) make Business owners contractually liable for maintaining this public disclosure. Enforcement is done by (a) the in-app gate requiring affirmative acknowledgment before the feature turns on, and (b) audit-log review as part of AdvantEdge's tenant compliance program.

THE MESSAGE THAT GETS SENT

Every outbound missed-call auto-reply is composed by the Business owner from a template. AdvantEdge automatically appends a compliant suffix — "Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help." — to every message before it is sent. Business owners cannot disable this suffix; they cannot even see it while editing the template.

Evidence 2 · Template editor with auto-appended compliance suffix
The template editor shows the Business owner's customizable message body (top) and a preview of the exact message the Caller will receive (highlighted panel). The auto-appended STOP/HELP suffix is visible in the preview but cannot be edited or removed. The Business's brand name and booking link are auto-populated from placeholders.

ONGOING CONTROLS AND GUARDRAILS

AdvantEdge enforces additional server-side protections to prevent abuse and ensure compliance:

Evidence 3 · Usage meter, plan cap, and per-tenant guardrails
Every Business sees a monthly usage meter showing how many messages they've sent against their subscription-tier cap. Below the meter, the following guardrails are documented in the app:
AdvantEdge usage meter — GROWTH plan · 1000 included · 0 of 1000 sent — with guardrail bullets: 1 reply per unique caller per 24 hours, 100/day pause, inbound replies free, undelivered flagged in audit log
